Family values

I have been married to Peter for the past thirty years. I am a mother to three biological children (all grown up now) and have embraced more into our group along the way.  I am proud to be  ‘Nanny Mary’ to two gorgeous granddaughters, and I adore our handsome pooch, Harry. 

 

I highly value and respect the importance of the family unit in all shapes and forms, and work very consistently and proactively to nurture and sustain my own family's wellbeing. I champion individuals to be themselves while maintaining a healthy respect for the family.

 

Diversity & inclusion

Empowerment and inclusion in the field of Special Education has been my focus for many years. I am passionate about embracing diversity, and harnessing the insights and richness that social inclusion brings to personal lives. My work in this area has been committed to supporting individuals to live their lives as fully and happily as possible. It is because of this experience, I am a natural facilitator and advocate of people living with a disability. Regardless of differences, I create environments for connectedness and respect. 

 

Being both an enthusiastic traveller and adventurer, I have an innate appreciation of diverse global cultures. Travelling teaches us so much about thinking on your feet, accepting people from all walks of life and embracing the moment. My adventurous side shines through travel to exotic and remote locations such as Morocco and more recently Slovenia, where I host Crafting Slovenia tours). I am also an avid cyclist and outdoor enthusiast, a musician, gardener, photographer, and have recently dabbled in felting to further satisfy my creative side.
